Ryan Adams Cover of “1989”

I have to say that I’ve been listening to this Ryan Adams redo of 1989 since it dropped back in September. For as much as his renditions of these songs bum me out, I find them oddly beautiful.

The story behind his idea to do this in the first place is interesting and sheds light on the creation.

“Wildest Dreams” may be my favorite track, but they do tend to vary by my moods.

Other standouts for me are “Blank Space” and “I Know Places”.

Give it a listen and see what you think.

Cooking note – I find this record very soothing to chop and prep veggies and what not. Soothes my mind.
