Crazy Wilco night at the Mann Music Center

Wilco has always been in the back of my mind musically since they started in 1994 or so. Yet, I never quite “got” them, until last night. Better late than never.

32 songs. Lots of astounding and weird time/key changes, dramatic layering of sound and light. The musicianship was top notch. Jeff Tweedy leads one fine band. A pleasant summer evening spent at the Mann Music Center in Philadelphia.

Bonus, Richard Thimpson opened, so that was cool too.

Pre-show taco run at Taqueria Feliz in Manyunk. Super good food.

What live music is good for your soul? Any shows coming up?

Great question. I am not sure. I will have to think about it. I am sure that it will not be loud, hard, or rap.
